Hi, my name is Michelle Anne Cope; most people call me Chel. I'm an editor, author, collage artist and illustrator. I write and create for young adult and teens.

I also read, color with crayons, collage - glue stuff on other stuff - and I have a great Sharpie® collection.

I write by computer more than by hand. I love to do both, but using my laptop makes the stories go faster. I have a Compaq Presario V5000 and I collaged the top! Check it out!

I digitally draw my artistic creations using Adobe Illustrator and a WACOM tablet. Then . . . I import the files into Photoshop to do a little more design and finishing touches.

Gus
Who exactly is Gus?
Gus is a black and white tom cat that loves tuna, stuffed mice and sitting next to my keyboard while I work. He's been known to have paint on his paws after dipping a toe or two into a drying collage. He was adopted from an animal shelter and has an incredible personality. He was totally fine that I drew him in purple!
